2020 Appointment Policy

To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time. If you are an established patient and you arrive 15 minutes late or more to your appointment, you will be asked to reschedule unless the doctor’s schedule can still accommodate you. Priority will be given to the patients who arrive on time and you may have to be worked in between them. This may mean a considerable wait. If this is not convenient, you may choose to reschedule.

We strive to give each pet the time they need during each appointment. To help us achieve this goal for all clients, we ask that you to give us at least 24 hours notice if you cannot make your appointment. This allows us to offer your appointment to another patient.

If you cannot make your appointment we ask that you give us 24 hours notice or reschedule. We can be reached by phone at 757-859-6415, and via email at ivorvetclinic@gmail.com

We thank you for your cooperation so we can give each pet the best service possible.

For your convenience, 'drop-off' appointments are available. A 'drop off' means you could bring your pet at the time that works best for you and leave him/her with us for a couple of hours. Usually we will ask you to 'drop off' sometime in the morning so our doctors can examine the patient in between appointments or at the time purposely reserved for admitted patients. Once the doctor is done, she will give you a call to go over the diagnosis and to give you discharge instructions.

For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all rabies vaccines to protect all people your pet encounters, you, our clients, other patients, and our staff. Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. This is one of the reasons we ask you to restrain your pet. We recommend that animals be placed on a leash or in pet carriers before entering the waiting room.

Payment Policy

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Care Credit, cash and personal checks. We do not offer in-house financing or payment plans.
