Our Services

Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best:

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services

Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.

Surgical Services

Our surgery services are catered to your pet.  We consider age, weight, pre-existing conditions, and overall general health of your pet before surgery. To ensure there are no underlying medical issues that would put your pet at risk for complications, we offer pre-anesthetic blood-work prior to surgery. The entire surgical team constantly monitors your pet's vital signs during and after the procedure. Post-surgery and follow-up care instructions are given during discharge making recovery as easy and painless as possible for your pet.

Anesthesia

We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.

Internal Medicine Consults

We offer referrals to an internal medicine specialist who performs ultrasounds, endoscopic procedures and helps us with the diagnosis of more complicated cases.

Radiology Services

Our on-site, modern X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders.

Dentistry

Dental hygiene is an important part of your pet's health because dental disease can be associated with other serious health problems such as heart disease and kidney disease. We offer dental cleanings that include scaling and polishing all teeth. We exam the mouth for signs of disease, and we extract any damaged or diseased teeth.

Laboratory

Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations. We offer in-house CBC's, Chemistry panels, cytologies, intestinal parasite screens, heartworm tests and more.

Permanent Identification

We offer microchip identification.

Pharmacy

We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry a full line of prescription diets.

Individualized Flea Control Programs

We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard and on your pet.

Dietary Counseling

We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.

Emergency Care

Please call our main telephone number for instructions for after-hour emergencies.

Annual Wellness

Why do our pets need screenings?

Firstly, our pets can't speak, they cannot tell us if they feel unwell or have any other indicators of internal illness. We need to examine patients annually and every 6 months for pets with chronic conditions. We may also recommend running routine screening tests to detect underlying disease BEFORE it is clinically apparent.

Secondly, pets will actively mask signs of illness until late in the course of disease. This stems from survival instincts in a pack or colony situation. Use the age chart below to find your pets age in "people" years and the screening testing recommended for each stage of his or her life.

We believe the following tests give us the best chance of helping your pets live longer, healthier lives.

These are approximations and may vary by gender, species, and breed.
